AGL Drone Solutions to host demos at Four State Farm Show

For 45 years, farmers and ranchers have visited the Four State Farm Show with the expectation of seeing the latest in equipment and technology while visiting hundreds of displays of agricultural products and services — and this year brings an expanded offering of drone demonstrations.

AGL Drone Solutions, based out of Bronaugh, Missouri, will perform demonstrations at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day.

AGL Drone Solutions began in 2014 when Michael Morris saw a need in his parents’ farming operation for a better way to use variable rates in nutrients and to monitor crop health. From then, AGL Drone Solutions has expanded to include a team of Certified Crop Advisors to help Four State farmers with crop scouting, soil loss monitoring, crop damage assessments, and a host of other applications using drone and aerial technologies.

“Our goal is not only to help producers achieve a high level of crop management but also to give them actionable data in a timely manner,” Morris said. “We call it, ‘making precision ag pay.’”

At the Four State Farm Show, Morris will fly a sensor-based drone and discuss how data is captured offline as well as demonstrate the quick processing of flight data and give an overview of the findings. Troy Graham with AV8 Droneworx will also demonstrate how thermal-imaging cameras can be used by cattle producers in their operations.

Additional Show Demonstrations

Double J Energy of Pittsburg will return with its Schramm T450 drill rig east of the hay demonstration field to give Farm Show visitors a close-up look at water well-drilling each day at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
